Grand Georgian
Renovations and 3020 sq. ft. additions to a 6500 sq. ft. red brick Georgian mansion. The goal was to create a larger modern kitchen with adjacent living space, larger garage, guest suite, master bedroom improvements, and general hardware and finishes renovations in addition to a pool area with many amenities. The achieved challenge was to create exterior and interior space and details that are compatible with the original Georgian architecture. Careful study of existing details and proportions resulted in a house that flows successfully in space and detail. The existing kitchen and existing 2-car garage and some storage area was transformed into an open kitchen design flowing into a den which opened into a new dining room then into a mudroom and 4 car garage. The pool area includes two changing/storage cabanas and a large entertainment cabana with 18 foot long paneled door that retracts vertically into the roof.
